Former Pakistan cricket team player Danish Kaneria has slammed Haris Rauf for slapping his teammate Kamran Ghulam for dropping a catch during a Pakistan Super League match yesterday evening.
The 2022 edition of the Pakistan Super League is currently underway in Pakistan. Yesterday, the Lahore Qalandars locked horns with Peshawar Zalmi. The match ended in a tie because of Shaheen Shah Afridi’s heroics in the batting department. He scored 39 runs off 29 deliveries and ensured his team took the game to a Super Over.
During the match, Kamran Ghulam dropped a catch off Haris Rauf’s bowling which made the fast bowler furious and he then slapped him as well. Here’s what Danish Kaneria said about it on YouTube:
“Bad behavior is bad behavior. Credit to Kamran Ghulam he did not react on the spot. Harbhajan had slapped Sreesanth, but that was a different thing. Here you slapped him because he dropped a catch. He took it with a cool head. See it is a game and catches will drop sometimes.”

Danish Kaneria wants PCB to take action against Haris Rauf
During the same YouTube video, Danish Kaneria further slammed Haris Rauf and said that PCB should ban him for at least four to five matches.
“PCB should take some disciplinary action now because a player cannot do this thing. Audience is watching in stadium, the whole world is watching on TV. It is very bad. It portrays a bad image. Haris Rauf, I’m very sorry, but you shouldn’t have slapped him, and so I think, he should be banned for a minimum 4-5 matches,” he added.Â
Fans should note that it was not such a big fight because later in the game it was seen that Haris Rauf hugged Kamran Ghulam. With the PSL 2022 playoffs, it will be interesting to see if PCB takes any action against Rauf.
