The 8th edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2022 has certainly lived up to the expectations of the neutral fans because they are the ones who ran through all kinds of emotions completely in the best way possible.

It was as if they had gone through a roller coaster ride of emotions and the tournament has reached the climax. Earlier, four teams cracked the code and made it to the semi-finals of the showpiece event.

The four teams in the equation are none other than India, New Zealand, Pakistan and England respectively. Pakistan crossed swords with New Zealand in the first semi-final clash at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

Pakistan beat New Zealand in first semi-final

Batting first, New Zealand national cricket team posted 152 for the loss of four wickets in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Daryl Mitchell once again led the attack by example in a big game as he scored 53 off 35 balls.

He remained not out in the game as he struck three fours and a six. On the other hand, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets to his name. In reply, Pakistan aced the run-chase in 19.1 overs as they beat New Zealand by seven wickets. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored with 57 off 43 balls including 5 boundaries.

Now, Pakistan will face the one of the teams between India and England at the Adelaide Oval. However, thjey have had a fairytale ride till now in the ICC World T20 2022.
