Australia is all set to tour India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The two cricketing heavyweights will lock horns with each other in the four games and it’s fair to say that all four games will be super-exciting. The much-anticipated series will kick start from February 9th in Nagpur followed by the second Test to be played on 17th February in Delhi. The third game between India and Australia is slated to take place on 1st March in Dharamshala whereas the last game will be played on 9th March in Ahmedabad.
One player from the current Australian squad who has over 30 wickets in India
From time to time, Australia has produced some magnificent efforts in India. However, they are yet to win a series in the Asian nations. With the kind of squad, they have this time around, it’s fair to say that if they play to their potential they can defeat India too at home.
In their last two tours to India, one bowler has troubled India a lot at their home conditions and it’s none other than Nathan Lyon. The off-spinner has been the mainstay of the Australian bowling lineup and has played a great role in his side’s success.
Lyon has had great success against India and is one of the best spinners going around in World cricket. He has 94 wickets against Australia in just 22 games and has often troubled Indian batters both at home and overseas. He also has 7 five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul against India.
Ian Chappell said – "One of the main tasks for Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara will be to establish mental superiority over Nathan Lyon in BGT". (To ESPNcricinfo)

Considered as the greatest spinner of all time, Lyon is among the leading wicket-takers in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. In India, he has taken 34 wickets from just 7 games, which is the most by any bowler from the current Australian squad. With pitches in India favouring spinners, he’s expected to play a great role for Australia this time as well.
