“Not A World Cup Knockout Game” : Twitter Goes Bitter On India’s Crushing Defeat In 2nd ODI Against England

After the crushing defeat of the Indian team in the second ODI game against England at London, the Twitteratis reacted in the rage over the poor short selection of Indian batsmen which resulted in a huge loss from a margin of 100 runs. In the second game where India was coming with the lead in the series, England had a difficult chance to win this match but instead England comeback bravely after setting a mediocre target of 247 runs. 

    Initially the innings of David Willey and Moeen Ali helped England to reach a respectable total and as they stepped into bowl in second innings the likes of David Willey and Reece Topley came up with wonders for the English side. The early wickets of skipper Rohit Sharma in the third over has set up the foundation of victory for England and later on instead of Surya Kumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya not a single batsman has tried to settle down things in a proper way. 

      The extra bounce and the continuous movement of the lord’s pitch was proving a substantial factor for the bowlers of both sides but Indian batters got in more trouble as the English bowlers were using the conditions brilliantly. Especially the bowling of Toopley who replicated the figures of Jasprit Bumrah with six wickets in the match has actually been the game changer factor for the English side in their second innings. 

   Along with him Liam Livingston, Brydon Carse and Moeen Ali also played an assistant role with solo wickets taken by all. While this will be an interesting sailing on to the final game of the series which is going to be a decider one.
