“No that’s not correct, I don’t know where it’s come from” – Australian all-rounder Cameron Green rubbishes concerns over his IPL 2023 workload

Australia’s young all-rounder Cameron Green became the talking point on social media after he was purchased by Mumbai Indians for a record price of INR 17.5 crore at the recently-concluded IPL 2023 mini-auction in Kochi.

Just days after he was sold for a massive amount, Cameron Green showcased his fortitude by bagging his first-ever five-wicket haul in the second Test against the South African cricket team at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

During the second Test, the youngster walked off the field (retired hurt) after he shed blood upon getting hit in the right index finger by a fiery Anrich Nortje’s delivery.

As a result, he was expected to be ruled out of the MCG Test. Needless to say, he turned up to bat wherein he scored an unbeaten fifty despite a broken finger and drew plaudits for his fighting attitude.

The 23-year-old all-rounder didn’t return to the field in the opposition’s second innings. He also took to his official social media handles and posted an x-ray image of a fractured finger.

He was ruled out of the third and final Test against South Africa at Sydney Cricket Ground. Meanwhile, speculations were rife that Cameron Green wouldn’t bowl till April 13 and that he wouldn’t contribute to Mumbai Indians with his bowling abilities for the first two or three games.

Reports stated that Cameron Green was asked not to bowl till April 13 to manage his workload. However, Cameron Green dismisses the rumours over his IPL 2023 workload by saying that he is 100% available for both skill sets.

While speaking to SEN Sportsday WA, Cameron Green confirmed his availability for the upcoming season of the IPL. At the same time, he said he didn’t know where the report came from. Meanwhile, Cameron Green is focused on making a comeback for the four-match Test series against India starting on February 9.
