“No one can stop us winning bronze atleast”, Twitter reacts as cricket might be included in Olympics 2028 with 6 team competition for both men and women

Cricket is the most-watched and highly-rated sport in India and the second most-watched sport in the world. The introduction of T20 leagues in India and across the globe made it much easier for the fans to keep track of it.

The shortest format of the game made things much simpler for the onlookers to follow the sport much thoroughly. Just a few days ago, it was confirmed that international cricket has 100+ men’s teams (Test/ODI/T20I).

The sport which was not the most-followed in the United States became increasingly popular after cricket icons including Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Shane Warne went for a promotional spree in the USA by playing the Cricket All-Stars (Twenty20 series).

As a result, cricket reached out to almost all parts of the world, which is good for the sport and the fans. We can expect a healthy competition in the future which will also see plenty of superstars coming through their ranks as well.

Meanwhile, in the latest development, it has been confirmed that cricket might be included in Olympics 2028. It is going to be a 6 team competition for both men and women.

For the unversed, the bat-ball game has actually been a sport at the modern Summer Olympic Games. However, the only instance it was played to date was at the 1900 Summer Olympics.

In fact, it was only the men’s contest which saw Great Britain winning the gold medal. Now, the possibility of both men and women’s cricket to be reengaged at the Olympics was recently resurfaced via media reports.

As per a report from The Telegraph, cricket might as well be included in Olympics 2028 with six team competition for both Men and Women. However, nothing as such has been confirmed yet. Meanwhile, the fans have come up with interesting reactions to the recent report.
