“Mumbai Indians are a cheat code”, Twitter reacts after Mumbai Indians retain Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah

Mumbai Indians hardly made their presence count in the last edition of the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates. Rohit Sharma and Co remained clueless in their approach throughout the season.

They failed to show intent in the games that they played in the group stage. Having played 14 games in the group stage, they notched up only four wins, losing the rest of ten games in the process.

As a result, they finished the last season at the bottom of the IPL 2022 points table. Rohit Sharma and Co will be looking forward to turning things around in the upcoming season of the IPL.

In fact, they have retained a core part of the players ahead of the auction. However, they will be missing the services of Kieron Pollard as the latter called it quits from Mumbai Indians as a player. He will be kick-starting a new chapter at the same chapter as a batting coach.

Meanwhile, the five-time IPL champions have retained top players and seem to be a phenomenal force to be reckoned with. They will surely start the tournament as the favourites considering the strength and core of the team.

Mumbai Indians have retained the likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David, Tristan Stubbs, Dewald Brevis, Jofra Archer, Jasprit Bumrah and many others in their department. It will be quite interesting to see how Mumbai Indians use their resources to better effect.

Mumbai Indians purchased the services of Jofra Archer for INR 8 crore at the IPL 2022 mega auction in Bengaluru. However, the Barbados-born paceman didn’t play last season due to injury.

He will be making a stellar comeback in the upcoming season as he will pair with Jasprit Bumrah to form the deadly bowling attack.
