“MS Dhoni running CSK while Ravindra Jadeja is captain is very wrong,” Ajay Jadeja not happy with former CSK skipper

MS Dhoni made most of the key decisions for CSK in the match against Lucknow Supergiants yesterday

The former Indian allrounder Ajay Jadeja is not happy with the fact that MS Dhoni is still running the CSK team and still making all the key on-field decisions despite having given up the captaincy of the team to Ravindra Jadeja.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) played their second game of IPL 2022 against Lucknow Supergiants yesterday and lost the game by 6 wickets, but more than the loss, what was worth noting for everyone was the fact that it didn’t seem like Ravindra Jadeja was the captain of CSK.

Most of the key decisions, from bowling changes to the field placements, were made by Dhoni and even the decision to hand over the ball to Shivam Dube in the 19th over of the second innings, which completely changed the game in the favor of LSG, was also made by Dhoni.

Dhoni can’t groom Ravindra Jadeja by not allowing him to take decisions: Ajay Jadeja

According to Ajay Jadeja, who was analysing the game in the post match show of Cricbuzz, if Dhoni wants to groom Jadeja as a captain, it can only be done if he lets Jadeja make key decisions on the ground. In the worst case scenario, the decisions can be wrong, but that’s how Jadeja will learn.

Ajay Jadeja insisted that first of all there was no need for Dhoni to step down as the captain of CSK because he is the greatest captain of all time and till the time he is playing, he should have continued leading the side, but now that he has decided that he wants to give it to Jadeja, he needs to give Jadeja all the freedom as well.

Parthiv Patel, who was another analyst in the studio alongside Ajay Jadeja, also echoed Jadeja’s thoughts that MS Dhoni running the game for CSK, even after giving up the captaincy of the team to someone else, is not a great thing for CSK.
