Virat Kohli moves to 9 in the ICC T20 rankings

Indian batter Virat Kohli has set the stage on fire ever since he returned to cricket after a short break ahead of the Asia Cup 2022. Although India lost the tournament he was one of the biggest positives for the side as looked at himself and also scored a century during that tournament.

His impressive form continued in the home series against Australia and South Africa and then he carried his staggering form in the T20 World Cup 2022. He almost single-handedly won the game against Pakistan to help his side begin their campaign on high.

He played staggering innings of unbeaten 82 runs when India was tumbling at 31/4. Virat pulled one of the most incredible chases in the history of cricket as he batted sensationally well to help his team win.

Kohli held the one end and along with Hardik Pandya, he slowly kept ticking the scorecard. With the pressure of run rate on, he looked unfazed and took calculated risks. But when things got heated up, he took bowlers to the cleaners and put Pakistan under pressure and eventually sealed the game for his side.

Following his knock against Pakistan, Kohli attained 9th rank in the latest ICC T20 rankings. Notably, he was ranked 35th in August. He is also the only Indian batsman to be part of the Top 10 ICC ranking in the ODI & T20 formats.
