Indian fans are indeed blessed to witness their favourite superstars in action, be it men’s or women’s cricket. On the other hand, cricketers try their maximum best to give it all for the nation while playing the sport.
However, only certain players who maintain their consistency levels are destined for greatness. As far as India men’s cricket is concerned, Virat Kohli is one name that comes to our mind.
On the other side of the coin, it is Smriti Mandhana who has been consistent in Indian women’s cricket. Both players have often lived up to their reputations when it comes to batting.
Virat Kohli and Smriti Mandhana have the most fifties for India while chasing in T20Is
Notably, the likes of Virat Kohli and Smriti Mandhana have a unique record as far as the Twenty20 Internationals are concerned. Kohli and Smriti have the most half-centuries for India while chasing in T20Is.
There is literally no doubt that both players have often led the batting attack by example. Kohli and Smriti have been the pillars of their respective teams when it comes to chasing and their stats serve as a testament to this fact.
Virat Kohli scored his 44th ODI century in the third and final ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram and it was also his 72nd century in international cricket. Currently, Virat Kohli is in Bangladesh gearing up for the two-match Test series.
The first of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and India will be held on December 14 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. India will be looking to win the Test series by performing well in both Tests after their ODI series fiasco.
Currently, India are fourth on the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table with 75 points including six wins, four defeats and two draws. India will have to win the two Tests against Bangladesh and the upcoming Tests as well in order to qualify for the WTC final.
