The Ex- Indian Opener And Former DC & PBKS captain Virender Sehwag has obturated the SRH leader Kane Williamson over his long sailing bad relations with the batting form. Kane has been included into the list of current fab four batters of the world, but along with his counterpart Virat Kohli he has also stepped into the dark patch of the run drought. He is the only skipper in the world, who is leading the national side in all three formats of the game.
But this season in IPL his captaincy and batting both are looking faint, in spite of the fact that Sunrisers has got their first five victories in a row uninterruptedly. The blooming phase of defeats has started for SRH after they rested their ace pacer Marco Jansen on the basis of his one bad performance against Gujarat Titans. Williamson’s off-span with the bat also probably started from there, as he only scored 208 runs in 12 games with a low average of 23.75.
“This is the right time to drop Williamson”
But, the paradigm Virender Sehwag has directly pointed to the radical scenario for Kane Williamson’s recovery from the bad phase. While putting his opinions in the post match talk show of Cricbuzz live, he said that, “How will the team fight when their leader isn’t doing well? Kane Williamson will have to score runs and that too at a better strike rate. His partner Abhishek Sharma is trying to make the most of the powerplay, but isn’t getting the support from the other end. Kane Williamson should take a break and give the captaincy to someone else.
Hope the upcoming two games will push the side of SRH in the top four, but technically speaking it is a highly impractical scenario to be happen with them.
