India vs Australia 2nd T20I at Nagpur Match Prediction – Who will win?

The second T20I between India and Australia will take place on Friday (22nd September).

India and Australia are currently locking horns in the three-match T20I series, which currently stands at 1-0 with the visitors in lead. Aaron Finch-led side was clinical with the bat in the first match and did some brilliant hitting to chase a big total and give India an eye opener.

India to win the second T20I against Australia in Nagpur

The focus is now on the second T20I which will take place in Nagpur on Friday (23rd September). The match will be important for both sides as India would be looking to save the series whereas Australia would want to close the series in this game itself.

Talking about the prediction of the game, the Rohit Sharma-led side is likely to win the second T20I and level the series 1-1. The main reason behind India’s defeat in the first game was their death bowling. And it is expected that they will not repeat the same mistake in the second game.

India did a great job with the bat in the first game as they posted over 200 runs. They started well with the ball and kept taking wickets at regular intervals but they missed their line and lengths in the death overs. Jasprit Bumrah will likely be back in the mix for the second game and their death bowling problems are expected to be solved.

With the series on the line, India is expected to come out all guns blazing and win the second game. The win not only will mark their comeback but it will also boost their confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022, which will place next month.

Probable Playing XI for India and Australia for the second T20I

Jasprit Bumrah is expected to return for India in the second T20I. The pacer is likely to replace Umesh Yadav in the squad and India would certainly look to give a long rope to Bhuvnehwar Kumar and Harshal Patel, who are in the World Cup Squad.

Here’s India’s predicted playing XI

Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah

Australia’s move to promote Cameron Green at the top paid off and it is expected that they would retain the same XI for the second game and would look to win the series.
