“I’m disappointed and shell-shocked” – Allan Border angry about the way Australia went about their work

Former Australian cricketer Allan Border was not at all impressed with the way Australia went about their business against Team India in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series on Indian soil.

Aussies were outsmarted by India in the first two games of the series as India retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the record fourth straight time. Australia found it literally tough to crack the code in the first two games.

India won the first Test by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur and took the first lead in the series. The fans expected the Aussies to make a stellar rebound in the second Test in Delhi.

As it turned out, they did showcase some positive signs in the first innings. However, in the second innings, they ran short of ideas as they went on to lose the plot before going on to lose the Test as well. India won the game by six wickets and took a 2-0 lead in the series.

Allan Border lashes out at Australian players for their performances against India

Former Australian skipper Allan Border launched a scathing attack on Australian players for their performances against Team India in the ongoing BGT series. While speaking to Fox Cricket, Allan Border said he was ‘disappointed’ and ‘shell-shocked’.

Furthermore, he said he is angry about the way Australia went about their business in the two Tests so far. Talking about their performances in the second Test, the Aussies scored 263 in the first innings before bundling out the Indians for 262.

It was when the fans expected a cracker of a contest. However, Australia failed to make things right in the second innings as they were bowled out for a mere 113 runs in the second innings.

On the other hand, Team India chased down the total on Day 3 itself as they won the game by six wickets. The third Test between India and Australia will be held on March 1 in Indore.
