India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav was last seen in cricketing action during the ODI series against New Zealand last month. He also played the T20I series against the Black Caps wherein he scored his second T20I century and drew plaudits for his exceptional batting.
Suryakumar Yadav is not part of India’s tour of Bangladesh and the flamboyant batter will be next seen in action for Sri Lanka’s tour of India which is scheduled to go all guns blazing from January 3 onwards.

The right-handed batsman is currently playing for the Mumbai cricket team against the Assam cricket team at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The Mumbai batsman played an attacking brand of cricket on Day 1 after Hyderabad won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Mumbai lost Prithvi Shaw for 19 runs but the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suryakumar Yadav stitched together a 153-run partnership for the second wicket. Suryakumar scored a terrific fifty and was en route to scoring a century.
However, he missed out on a well-deserved hundred by 10 runs against Assam. Overall, he slammed a flurry of 15 boundaries and a six to his name at a strike rate of 112.50.
Mumbai cricket team have scored 396 runs for the loss of three wickets in 75 overs. On the other side, Assam bowler Mehrotra Shashank accounted for two dismissals whereas Kartikeya Kak took one wicket to his name.
Mumbai cricket players find themselves in a strong zone and are the favourites to win the game against Assam. Suryakumar Yadav who has played Twenty20 Internationals and One-Day Internationals for Team India is yet to make his Test debut. Earlier, Suryakumar expressed his interest to make his Test debut for the national team soon.
