“If Dhoni was in RCB…”, Wasim Akram makes explosive remark on RCB’s trophyless cabinet

Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the few teams that are yet to taste the IPL glory in these fifteen seasons of the Indian Premier League. They tried their maximum best to gun for the title in all these years.

Needless to say, they lacked the killer instinct and hunger to win the title, which has been the same old story for them time and time again. They have reached the IPL final on three occasions in their journey.

RCB reached the first IPL final back in 2009 edition but lost to Deccan Chargers (now-defunct). They reached their second IPL final in the 2011 edition but lost to Chennai Super Kings in the showdown.

RCB reached the third IPL final in the IPL 2016 edition. However, they surrendered at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final. Since then, they didn’t reach the final yet and are still waiting to win the IPL title.

Wasim Akram makes explosive remark on RCB’s trophyless cabinet

Meanwhile, former Pakistani cricketer, Wasim Akram was not at all impressed by Royal Challengers Bangalore’s empty trophy cabinet as they haven’t won even one trophy.

While speaking to Sportskeeda, the Pakistan cricket icon made an explosive remark on RCB’s trophyless cabinet. He opined that if MS Dhoni was there in RCB, then the franchise would have won three trophies by now.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni steered Chennai Super Kings to four IPL titles and the yellow army became the second-most successful IPL franchise. Besides that, CSK have been to the finals a record nine times.

Wasim Akram emphasized that RCB would have won three IPL trophies by now if MS Dhoni was their skipper. He further added that RCB have so much support but sadly, they haven’t won the title.

Last but not least, Wasim Akram added that RCB have the world’s top modern-era player Virat Kohli but they still couldn’t find a way to win the title.
