Iceland Cricket reveals the team of the tournament for the T20 World Cup 2022; leaves out Shadab Khan

The T20 World Cup 2022 has almost reached the end of the road as the two best teams made it to the finals of the competition in Australia. Earlier, Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the first semi-final by seven wickets and cruised into the finals.

Later on, the England cricket team humiliated Rohit Sharma and Co in the second semi-final. Jos Buttler and Co dominated the game with such ease as they won the game by 10 wickets and made it to the final.

England and Pakistan will lock horns with each other in the final battle on November 13 (Sunday). The epic final battle will go all guns blazing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Iceland Cricket comes up with the team of the tournament

The tournament saw players of their respective teams raising their standards at the top level as we witnessed top quality stuff from the teams so far in the tournament. 

Just a while ago, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the shortlist for the player of the T20 World Cup 2022. Meanwhile, Iceland Cricket took to their official Twitter handle and came up with the team of the tournament.

They picked the best playing XI while also picking the two players under the drinks waiters category. Alex Hales and Jos Buttler who scored 89 and 80 against Team India in the semi-final were named in the playing XI.

Iceland Cricket went on to pick Virat Kohli in the playing XI. The former Indian skipper has been in rollicking form in the tournament, scoring 296 runs including four fifties so far. 

After that, the likes of Glenn Phillips, Suryakumar Yadav, Sikandar Raza, Wanindu Hasaranga are there on the list. The likes of Anrich Nortje, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Trent Boult and Josh Little follow next on the list.
