‘Each and every series new captain’ – Twitter reacts as healthy banter between Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan goes viral

The T20I series between India and New Zealand came to an end very recently. Had it not been for bad weather conditions, the fans would have witnessed the whole series at the best scene.

Unfortunately, due to showers, only one match was possible. The first game was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain whereas the second T20I came to a close in Hardik Pandya and Co’s favour.

The visitors notched up a stellar 65-run win over the hosts and took a 1-0 lead in the series. The series decider didn’t take place properly as the rain interrupted the game during India’s run-chase in Napier.

As a result, the DLS method came into the equation, which saw India’s score of 75 level with the par score. This is why the game ended in a tie. Fortunately for India, they have already won the second game and they won the series by 1-0.

Healthy banter between Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan goes viral

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who missed the third T20I due to a pre-arranged medical appointment is finally back now to lead the team from the front for the upcoming three-match ODI series.

On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team for the ODI series. The first of the three-match ODI series will go all guns blazing on November 25 at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday.

It remains to be seen which team will take the lead in the ODI series. India’s previous record in New Zealand hasn’t been that good as they lost the last four games.

India will be looking forward to the challenge this time around. Currently, they are third on the ICC Men’s Team Rankings and if they inflict a 3-0 whitewash on the Black Caps, then Team India would take the numero uno spot in the rankings.

Meanwhile, a video clip featuring New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan has been doing the rounds on the internet. Both of them played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the past and they had some good banter.
