“I would pick Rahul Dravid to play for my life,” says IPL 2022 orange cap holder Jos Buttler

Jos Buttler has, so far, scored 491 runs in IPL 2022 in just 7 games with 3 hundreds

The England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler, who is holding the orange cap in IPL 2022 right now, as he has scored close to 500 runs in just 7 games in the tournament so far, has revealed that if he has to pick one batsman in the history of the game to play for his life, he would pick the current India head coach Rahul Dravid.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Jos Buttler were having a chit-chat show for Rajasthan Royals’ social media handles and the question to Buttler was actually asked by Ashwin.

There were a lot of speculations about the relationship between Ashwin and Buttler before the start of this IPL season because of the Mankad incident in IPL 2018, but the two of them seem to be gelling well in the Rajasthan camp at the moment.

Ashwin also asked Buttler if there is a particular reason why he has picked Rahul Dravid to play for his life out of all the players in the history of the sport, to that Buttler answered Dravid is called “the wall” for a reason. You can’t go past the wall.

Ashwin, who is a regular India international player as well and gets to meet Dravid often enough, told Buttler when he meets Dravid the next time, he would let him know what Buttler said about him.

I don’t like facing Kuldeep sen in the nets: Jos Buttler

Another interesting question that was asked to Buttler in that chit-chat show was who is that one bowler Buttler doesn’t like to face in the Rajasthan Royals nets, to that Buttler said he doesn’t like facing the Indian youngster Kuldeep Sen in the nets because he bowls extremely fast.

Kuldeep Sen has played a couple of games for Rajasthan Royals in this season and while his performance in the first game was excellent as he bowled the last over to the Australian power hitter Marcus Stoinis and didn’t let him win the game for Lucknow Supergiants, he went expensive in the second game and lost his place in the playing XI.
