He hogged the limelight when he scored a century against Adelaide Strikers in the 45th game of the BBL at International Sports Stadium, Coffs Harbour. Steve Smith who came out to bat as an opener scored runs at a rate of knots.

The veteran cricketer scored a stellar 101 off 55 balls with the help of five boundaries and seven hits over the fence. Unfortunately, he was run out by the joint efforts of Alex Carey and Matthew Short.

The right-handed batter constructed his innings with the help of 4 fours and six sixes to his name at a strike rate of 200. It seems that Steve Smith is really enjoying his role as an opener in T20s and his recent performances serve as a testament to this fact.
