Former Indian cricket team captain Sunil Gavaskar is all set to be a part of the commentary panel for the IPL 2022 season. He is a part of the world feed commentary team. Ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, Gavaskar revealed what he thinks about the teams that are in the race to win the trophy this year.
He spoke in detail about the teams and named one franchise that he does not feel can win the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. Discussing the Punjab Kings team on Sports Tak, Sunil Gavaskar said that PBKS do not have an impact player in their IPL 2022 squad.
While he said that they do not have an impact player this season, he added that it could also work in the favor of the franchise. Gavaskar mentioned that PBKS can surprise the fans in IPL 2022.
“Punjab Kings is one of those teams that have not managed to win the IPL. This time, I don’t think they have an impact player in their squad but this can benefit the team as well,” he said.

Sunil Gavaskar then gave his views on whether the Mayank Agarwal-led outfit can win the IPL 2022 trophy.
“I think Punjab Kings can surprise a few. Will they win the trophy? I doubt that,” he added.
The Punjab Kings will start their IPL 2022 campaign against the Royal Challengers Bangalore this Sunday evening. It will be interesting to see how the team performs.
Before the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, PBKS retained only two players, namely Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh. They had to let go of their captain KL Rahul because he wanted to have a new journey. Agarwal has captained in only one match before. He will be keen to perform well as full-time captain in his maiden season.
