The cricket fraternity has witnessed several batters executing stupendous shots depending on the situation. If it’s Test cricket, the batters ensure to play the game in a different way combined with patience and perseverance.
On the other hand, the batsmen tend to be a little more aggressive when it comes to the T20 format. They played with a lot of intent and in the process, we get to witness some ridiculous shots from them.
In fact, the franchise cricket leagues across the world have been well and truly entertaining and intriguing at the best scene. It is always a different game when it comes to the shortest format and the battles between batters and bowlers are bound to keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
Joe Clarke plays a rare shot against Adelaide Strikers in BBL 12
During the 38th game of the Big Bash League between Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Stars at the MCG, Joe Clarke made the headlines after he chipped in with a unique ramp shot in the passage of play.
The out-of-the-box shot was something that nobody really expected as Joe Clarke weaved the magic with his willow at the fraction of a second by launching the ball towards the third man for a maximum.
The commentators and fans fell short of words to describe the shot in the first place. Playing for Melbourne Stars, Joe Clarke produced a spark as an opener by scoring 35 runs including 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Earlier, Adelaide Strikers were skittled out for a mere 108. In response, Melbourne Stars aced the run-chase with ease as they won the game by nine wickets in 14.3 overs.
Thomas Rodgers was the pick of the batters for Melbourne Stars in the run-chase as he chipped in with an unbeaten 51 off 45 balls including three fours and a six.
I don´t get it…Isn´t this a 6!?
(asking from Germany, not really cricket experienced, sorry!)— Heinz-Florian Oertel (@Hfoertel) January 12, 2023
It is a six yes. The commentator expresses the following sentence staggeringly, because that shot is rare and was played so well.

This is the effect of shorter version of cricket which as a result has 'killed' the spirit of the game.
We can no longer expect that 'copy book style batting' anymore 🤦🤦🤦— Suryakantha Reddy (@suryakanthreddy) January 12, 2023
Books need to evolve as time progresses…..Earlier if you hit the ball in the air you would get rap on knuckles from coach …not now 🤣 need to evolve with time ,take the sport to more countries..that's the spirit of cricket..not sticking to old time …
