‘I am quite likely to be far more anxious than I was when I made my first appearance for my country’-Gautam Gambhir talks about making a comeback to cricket through Legends League Cricket

Recent comments made by Gautam Gambhir were about how he will lead the India Capitals team in the next second season of the Legends League Cricket 2022, which will begin on September 17 of this year.

Gambhir said in a video that was published on social media by the India Capitals that he is quite anxious about returning to the field since he hasn’t participated in the sport in quite some time.

The former Indian opener claimed that he is delighted to be back in action with all of the other former cricketers that he has played with or battled against in the past. He added that this excitement comes even though he is frightened.

What did Gautam Gambhir say?

Gambhir said: “I’m really anxious. Because it has been so long since I last picked up a cricket bat, I am quite likely to be far more anxious than I was when I made my first appearance for my country in an international competition. The fact that you’ve been doing it for such a long time makes it all the more fascinating. It’s always good to come back and play a game of cricket and competition of this level with some of the individuals who I’ve played cricket with and against in the past.”

In the Legends League Cricket 2022, there will be a total of four teams competing against one another for the coveted title.

In the opening match of the season, which will take place on Saturday in Kolkata, the India Capitals, captained by Gambhir, will square off against the Gujarat Giants, who are captained by Virender Sehwag.

Gambhir continued by saying that captaining a team is really difficult for an individual like him since he wants everyone to play to the best of their abilities at all times.

In addition to that, he said that when he is the captain of a team, he expects the most out of himself.
