T20 World Cup 2022 will be played from 16th October to 13th November in Australia.

The excitement for the T20 World Cup 2022 has started to build up. The ICC event will take place in Australia during October and November. The final of the tournament will be played on 13 November 2022 at Iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

How many overs are in each T20 World Cup match?

The 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup will see 16 teams competing with each other for the title. Teams will be divided into 2 groups. Out of the 16 teams in total, 8 will play the qualifier round and 4 teams from that round will progress to the Super 12 stage of the tournament.

If we talk about the overs, each match in T20 World Cup 2022 will have 20 overs per innings. Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 4 overs and the first 6 overs will be part of the mandatory power play, in which teams can keep a maximum of two fielders outside the 30-yard circle.

All the teams have named their squad for the World Cup and have started their preparation for the event. They are playing the bilateral series and are getting their final things right. Teams will be soon reaching Australia and ahead of the tournament, they will play warmup games to get used to the conditions.
