Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 65th match of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
As of now, Royal Challengers Bangalore are fifth on the IPL 2023 points table with six wins and six defeats, collecting 12 points from the league stage so far in the competition.
If RCB loses to Sunrisers, then Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants will qualify for the playoffs. However, if RCB wins their remaining two matches against SRH and GT, they have a strong chance of qualifying due to their superior net run rate of +0.166.
RCB name Dinesh Karthik in the Impact Players’ list against SRH
RCB’s veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has been in woeful form in the ongoing edition of the IPL. The experienced campaigner who produced a massive spark in the batting unit in the last season failed to bring the best out of himself in the ongoing season.
He has quite often come under fire for his series of poor scores. Now, the RCB team management took him off the playing XI. However, they decided to feature him in the Impact Players’ list.
Some fans are of the view that Dinesh Karthik might be released by RCB after IPL 2023, given his form. Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl first.
