‘Avoided Dhoni’s Birthday Like A Bouncer’-Fans React To Yuvraj Singh Wishing On Sourav Ganguly’s Birthday But Skipping MS Dhoni’s Birthday

Sourav Ganguly turned 50 on Friday. He used to be the captain of India and is now the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). People are sending him birthday wishes on social media. Ganguly is known for putting together a strong team. Under his leadership, India beat Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2001-02, and the team famously won at Eden Gardens against all odds after Australia asked the hosts to bat again. Ganguly had also led India to the World Cup final in 2003, where they lost to Ricky Ponting’s Australia.

Yuvraj Singh Wishes Sourav Ganguly

Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder for India, was the first person to wish Ganguly a happy birthday. He called him a “great friend” and an “impactful captain.”

Ganguly played for India in 113 Tests and 311 ODIs, and he scored a total of 18,575 runs in all of those games. He led India in 195 games in all formats, and India won 97 of those games.

Ganguly’s first Test match was against England in the summer of 1996, and he made a hundred in his first Test at Lord’s. In his second test, the left-handed batter also hit a hundred.

As soon as Dada became captain, he started training new players. It is a testament to his leadership that players like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Mohammad Kaif, MS Dhoni, and Zaheer Khan all came into their own while Ganguly was captain. Ganguly led India to the final of the ICC Knockout Trophy in 2000.

On July 7, it was the birthday of yet another former India captain, MS Dhoni. However, Yuvraj Singh did not come up with any wish for his former teammate and captain but wished Sourav Ganguly on the very next day. Over the years, there have been reported rumors regarding a consistent dig from Yuvraj Singh’s side against MS Dhoni. Yuvraj Singh’s father vociferously spoke harsh statements against Dhoni in public on multiple occasions. Even Yuvraj Singh took an indirect dig at MS Dhoni on multiple occasions of late. However, MS Dhoni has never said anything as such against either Yuvraj Singh or his father.
