The Day 3 of the ongoing second Test between India and Australia has been torrid for the Pat Cummins-led side. Indian bowlers R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have wreaked havoc across the opposition’s batting lineup.
R Ashwin started the destruction on the third day of the game as he removed Travis Head for 43 runs in the first over. The off-spinner continued his carnage as he got the second time in the game removed Steve Smith. Ashwin trapped him in Lbw for 9 runs. Before sending Matt Renshaw packing for 2 runs.
However, the entire show was stolen by Ravindra Jadeja as developed himself as an unplayable bowler. He first clobbered the stumps of Marnus Labuschagne for 35 runs.
After that it was all Jadeja as he made a mockery of Australia’s batting lineup and took all the remaining wickets to help his side bundle out the visitors for just 113 runs, setting India a target of 115 runs.
He removed the likes of Peter Handscomb, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann. He completed his ten-wicket haul for Jadeja in the 2nd Test and is also the leading wicket taker in the series as he has taken 17 wickets from 2 Tests.
Jadeja returned with his career-best figures of 7/42 as India folded out Australia in a short span of time. The Pat Cummins-led side lost 9 wickets for just 52 runs on ten Day 3. Notably, Jadeja took five-wicket haul in the first game as well.
