It’s fair to say that KL Rahul has delivered on almost every occasion when he has got the opportunity in the middle order. Ever since he started batting at No.5, he has provided that solidity to the Indian middle order, which was a massive cause of concern for them for the last few years.

Rahul was the lone warrior for his side whereas rest of the batters failed to cross the 30-run mark. Batting at No.5, he held one end and made sure that he kept ticking the scorecard. He looked unfazed by what happened at the other end and powered India to a fighting total.

Rahul scored 73 runs in 70 balls, smashing  5 fours and 4 sixes in his innings and batted at the strike rate of 104.29. He was looking set for a big score but eventually fell short of partners in the end. His knock was rated very highly by many fans and pundits as they feel that he played a staggering inning under pressure.
