Harsha Bhogle Made A Big Statement About Siraj

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj showed some impeccable skills as he picked four wickets in the first innings of the ongoing second Test match between England and India. The sensational bowler of India has been receiving praises from all corners for his amazing performances.

On Day 3 of the ongoing second Test match, Siraj came to India’s rescue as he led the bowling attack from the front. He produced an amazing spell and picked four crucial wickets to wrap England up at 391 in the first innings.

Though the first session went wicketless for the Indian side, soon Siraj gave a much-needed breakthrough to India after Lunch by dismissing Jonny Bairstow (57). Soon after, India’s experienced bowler Ishant Sharma dismissed Jos Buttler (23). However, the England skipper, Joe Root was seen in a red-hot form as he played a knock of an unbeaten 180 runs. Root kept troubling the Indian bowlers throughout his knock.

While Root fought like a lone warrior for the England side, on the other hand, Siraj turned out to be the pick of the bowlers for his side. He maintained accuracy of his delivery and bowled consistently at one length, to trouble the England batting line-up and the bowler soon got his rewards. He picked four crucial wickets of Dominic Sibley, Haseeb Hameed, Jonny Bairstow, and Ollie Robinson.

Though he bowled amazingly well throughout, there was a couple of ‘DRS’ drama that took place on the field. Not once, but twice, Siraj forced the skipper to take the review after he felt that he has hit Root on his pads, both the times. However, two of the Indian reviews got wasted because of Siraj.

Meanwhile, from his heroics at the Gabba, where he picked a five-wicket haul to his stunning spell at the Lord’s yesterday, Siraj has emerged out as one of the most dependable bowlers of India. Fans on social media are going gaga over the Indian pacer and are showering him with praises for his performances.

Popular cricket analyst Harsha Bhogle also joined the bandwagon and hailed the brilliance of Siraj. In his tweet, he stated that if we keep the DRS drama aside, then Siraj has bowled magnificently. He wrote:

Put the DRS drama aside. @mdsirajofficial has bowled magnificently.”
