“GT is CSK 2.0” – Twitter erupts after GT beat MI by 62 runs to make it to the 2nd successive IPL final

Gujarat Titans were by far the best team in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Notably, they were the first team to qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs by finishing the league stage as the table-toppers.

However, as it turned out, they surrendered at the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the first qualifier that took place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai very recently.

Needless to say, they wouldn’t worry much as they got another opportunity to make it to the IPL final. They got the better of Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians by 62 runs

The defending champions might have lost to CSK in the first qualifier but they ensured to tick all boxes while locking horns with Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier.

Gujarat Titans posted a huge total of 233/3 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Shubman Gill top-scored with 129 off 60 balls with the help of seven fours and 10 hits over the fence.

In reply, Mumbai Indians did put up a fight in the run-chase but till 12 overs. After that, they lost the way and ended up losing the game. Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 off 38 balls including seven fours and two sixes.
