“Great chance for Virat to break Sachin 49 ODI centuries,” Twitter reacts as India set to begin their preparations for the World Cup 2023

Virat Kohli currently has 43 ODI centuries.

Fans on Twitter reacted in joy as the Indian Cricket Team is all set to begin their preparations for the Cricket World Cup 2023. They feel that it’ll be a great opportunity for Virat Kohli to surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s tally of 49 ODI centuries.

India to kick start their preparation for the World Cup with the New Zealand series.

India is all set to lock horns with New Zealand in three-match ODI series. The first game will be played on Friday (25th November) in Auckland followed by the second and third games to be played on November 27th and 30th in Hamilton and Christchurch respectively.

The series against New Zealand will kick-start India’s preparation for the ODI World Cup next year. They will next face Bangladesh in three ODIs before again locking horns with Kiwis in three games but this time at home.

India will then host Sri Lanka, Australia and West Indies in three-match ODI series each before travelling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. They are then slated to play Australia again in three ODIs, which will be the last series before the World Cup.

With India set to play over 20 ODIs ahead of the Cricket World Cup, it’ll be a great preparation for them considering that the tournament is slated to take place at home. Also with Asia Cup also slated to take place in a 50-over format, it’s fair to say that India will be strong favourites to win the World Cup.
