“Got some work to do”, Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond tells what Arjun Tendulkar must do to get a place in the playing XI

Although Mumbai Indians were the first team to get knocked out of IPL 2022, they still could not give a chance to Arjun Tendulkar. Recently, Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond talked about this. In this article, we take a look as Shane Bond tells what Arjun Tendulkar must do to find a place in the playing XI.

Shane Bond tells what Arjun Tendulkar must do

The former New Zealand pacer has been a part of the Mumbai Indian’s backroom staff for a while now. He is the bowling coach and has helped the likes of Jasprit Bumrah do well for the franchise. Arjun Tendulkar is a bowling all-rounder and has played for Mumbai in domestic cricket. However, he is finding it hard to get a place in the playing XI of Mumbai Indians.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Shane Bond said, “Arjun still needs some work to do. To get in the squad is one thing and to get into the playing XI is another. He has a lot of development and hard work to do. It’s one thing to try everyone out, but in the end, you have to earn your spot.”

“He needs to work on his batting and fielding before finding a place on the team. Hopefully, he can make those progressions and earn a spot in the team”

A challenging road ahead for the youngster

The son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun is already under tremendous pressure to live up to expectations. He is still a developing cricketer and unfortunately, there is always a lot of attention on him due to his father.

While tackling that itself is a challenge, Arjun must also improve his skills to cement his spot in the playing XI of teams that he plays for. He was recently dropped from the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad and his first target will be to get back into the team.
