“Good. Want to see runfests for once” – Twitter reacts after Steven Smith said Ahmedabad pitch looks to be the best batting wicket of the BGT series

The Australian national cricket team came to India to play quality cricket in the Border Gavaskar Trophy series. They haven’t produced good results against India in the BGT series in the last three Test series.

As it turned out, the Indian cricket team dominated the BGT series by drawing the first blood in the series. They won the Test opener by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur. After that, India beat Australia by six wickets in Delhi.

India not only took a 2-0 lead in the BGT series but also retained the Border Gavaskar Trophy for a record fourth time. However, the Indians were taken aback by Australia’s resurgence in the third Test in Indore.

Ahmedabad pitch looks to be the best batting wicket of the BGT series: Steve Smith

The Australian cricket team won the third Test by nine wickets and made a bold statement that they are still alive in the BGT series. With this win, they have also qualified for the ICC World Test Championship Final.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith who is leading the Australian cricket team in Pat Cummins’ absence in the BGT series addressed the reporters ahead of the fourth Test match against Team India in Ahmedabad.

Australia’s best batsman, while speaking to the reporters said that the Ahmedabad pitch looks to be the best batting wicket of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy series.

Hence we can expect a cracker of a contest as both teams will unleash their batting attacks. The first three Tests saw bowlers dominating the game by taking most of the wickets.

The ongoing BGT series saw only Rohit Sharma score a century on a tough batting track in Nagpur. With the Ahmedabad pitch set to be a paradise for the batters, we can expect some players to score a century from both teams.

The fourth and final Test between India and Australia will be held on March 9 (Thursday) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
