“Don is back!”, Twitter split as Kedar Jadhav joins RCB in IPL 2023

Kedar Jadhav has being roped in as a replacement for David Willey in IPL 2023

Kedar Jadhav joins RCB: If RCB’s season wasn’t already heading downtown enough with 4 wins from 8 games, then in a telling blow they lost the likes of their high-performing bowler, David Willey in another telling blow. It seems that this hasn’t been the season of their fast bowlers at all as Josh Hazlewood is still to hit his stride.

Reece Topley took a long flight back home after dislocating his shoulder. David Willey will now be no longer be a part of the IPL 2023. As a replacement of the English quick, RCB has opted for veteran cricketer, Kedar Jadhav.

Kedar Jadhav who is 38 will be plying his trade for RCB for a third season now, with his last stint in the Red and Gold threads coming back in 2017.

A glance at the numbers of Kedar Jadhav

The last time he stepped foot in Chinnswamy, he was drafted into the franchise via a trade agreement with the Delhi Daredevils, now rechristened as Delhi Capitals. Kedar Jadhav’s IPL career has seen him being a part of 93 matches from which he has amassed 1196 runs at a strike rate of 123.17.

He is also an instrumental off-spinner but very rarely bowls and has not been seen rolling his arm in the history of IPL. In fact, in a lesser known fact, Kedar Jadhav can also keep wickets as he has donned the gloves for RCB before.

Albeit the fans not being happy with the signing of Kedar Jadhav, his recent showdown in Ranji Trophy will be instilling a few hopes in the hearts of the fans. He has managed to score at a breezy rate of 92.50 and comes with a boatload of experience.

Here is what Twitter had to say about Kedar Jadhav

Talking on his RCB signing, Kedar said, “I took a break for a year but I realised I was missing my passion. When I came back to play First-Class cricket, I found it very easy. All the experience helped. The hunger was there which was in the early 20s. The hunger to score big runs was there and I felt I can come back and play at all levels and I’ve prepared for it, I’ve always performed well.”

Twitter had their own say about the entire unfolding and had reasons to believe that this may not have been the best possible move by RCB.
