“Dion Nash is the first name that comes to mind as I look at this kit”, Twitter reacts as New Zealand unveils new kit for T20 format

New Zealand national cricket team led by Kane Williamson performed considerably well in the 8th edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup competition in Australia.

The Black Caps topped the points table with three victories, one defeat and a no result. They had a better Net Run Rate as compared to England and Australia and which is why they finished first on Group 1 points table.

However, they were unable to accelerate the momentum while locking horns with the Pakistan cricket team. They were slapped with a defeat in the first semi-final and as a result, they were eliminated from the tournament.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have a busy home schedule up ahead as they will lock horns with the Indian cricket team in three Twenty20 Internationals followed by as many One-Day Internationals.

The tour kicks off with the T20I series, with the T20I opener scheduled to be played on November 18, Friday at Sky Stadium, Wellington. Hardik Pandya has been named the stand-in captain for the T20I series.

The all-rounder played a gritty knock of 63 off 33 balls against England in the semi-final in Adelaide. Nonetheless, his knock went in vain as England chased down the target with 4 overs to spare with the help of Alex Hales and Jos Buttler.

The duo added 170-run stand for the opening wicket and helped the team book their berth in the finals. England went on to beat Pakistan in the final encounter as they won their second T20 World Cup title.

Meanwhile, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) unveiled their new kit for the T20 format and the design of it looks superb. The colour combination of dark black with light blue on the sides of the jersey is eye-catching.
