“Dhoni giving hints, now I am emotional”, Twitter reacts as MS Dhoni thanks the Kolkata crowd for giving him the farewell

Sunday’s IPL 2023 match 33 was won by the Chennai Super Kings by a score of 49 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. At Eden Gardens, KKR were unable to reach their target of 236 runs, finishing with 186 for 8. CSK produced 233 for 4 in 20 overs thanks to scores of 71 (unbeaten) and 51 (off 20) from Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube, respectively. 

In addition, Devon Conway knocked in 56 runs. Kulwant Khejroliya took two wickets in his four overs, but he also gave up 44 runs. Nitish Rana, captain of KKR, won the toss and elected to bowl first. Thanks to their Sunday victory, CSK now has 10 points and is in first place in the IPL 2023 standings.

CSK has won five of their last seven games. They presently have the best record in the league. Even though Roy played well for KKR in the pursuit, the game ultimately went to CSK after Theekshana got him and Pathirana had Russell hole out. 

In the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni thanked the Kolkata crowd. He said: “I will just say thanks for the support, they came in big numbers. Most of these guys will come in a KKR jersey next time. They are trying to give me a farewell, so thanks a lot to the crowd.”
