Rishabh Pant gets injured in a serious car accident while going to Dehradun from Delhi
I’m what was tragic news, Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant on Friday (30th December) met with a serious accident between Manglaur and Narsan in Haridwar district while going to Dehradun from Delhi.
Pant dozed off while driving and as a result, his car collided with the divider and caught fire. He was immediately taken out of the car and shifted to lock hospital before being referred to Max Hospital in Dehradun. It is learned as per the reports that Pant was coming home to surprise his mother and there was a plan to hang out with his mother and family on the occasion of New Year.
Although the extent of the injuries is yet to be known, but the 25-year-old is out of danger and is stable. The keeper batter has suffered two lacerative wounds on his forehead along with a ligament tear in the knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and abrasions on his back. The southpaw will undergo MRI scans which will exactly confirm the exact extent of injuries and further course of treatment.
Pant notably, is not part of any of the Indian squads for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka. He was scheduled to go to National Cricket Academy (NCA) for strength and conditioning before the Test series against Australia in February.
