The pacer after the second game rushed back to home due to a family illness and was expected to return for their third Test. But it has now been confirmed that he won’t return for the Indore game. In his place Steve Smith will lead the team in the third game.
With Cummins not being available, it’ll be a great opportunity for someone like Mitchell Starc to reclaim his spot in the team. The pacer missed the first two games due to injury and it’s likely that he will be back for the second Test.
After suffering an innings and 132 runs and 6 wickets loss in the first two games respectively, the visitors would be hoping to turn around the things and win a game. It remains to be seen what XI will Australia field in the third game.
