“BCCI should include him in the next cycle of WTC” – Twitter reacts after Sarfaraz Khan said he cleared all the Yo-Yo tests in the past

Sarfaraz Khan is one of the talented prospects in the Mumbai cricket team. He has been proving his worth time and time again in domestic cricket for three years now yet the Indian selectors didn’t name him in the Test squad.

The 25-year-old truly deserves a chance to feature in the Test squad given his mind-blowing numbers in domestic cricket. Just a few days ago, the BCCI named the Test squad for the first two Tests of the Border Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia.

Team India will play four Tests and three ODIs as part of the home assignment. Unfortunately, Sarfaraz Khan didn’t make the cut into the squad for the first two games of the series.

During an interview with TOI, Sarfaraz Khan even told that he was promised that he would get an opportunity to feature in the two-match Test series against the Bangladesh cricket team. However, the selectors didn’t consider him in the plans for Bangladesh Tests.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old further added that there are no issues regarding his fitness. He clarified that he is very fit and that he also runs fast. Besides that, he also echoed that everyone has a different body structure.

Talking about the fitness tests, he said he has successfully cracked all the Yo-Yo tests in the past. He even highlighted that clearing the Yo-Yo test is mandatory in order to play in the Indian Premier League.

Overall, Sarfaraz Khan has played 46 games in the Indian Premier League wherein he scored 532 runs at an average of 24.2 including one half-century. He still has a lot of catching up to do to improve his IPL career.

On the other hand, he boasts a very good record as far as the domestic circuit is concerned. He scored 3380 runs in 36 games at an average of 80.47 including 12 centuries and 9 half-centuries.
