Bangladesh cricket team led by Litton Das produced a masterful performance in the ODI series opener against Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

India posted 186 runs on the board with the help of KL Rahul’s 73. Apart from him, all the other batters failed to deliver the goods. On the other side of the coin, Bangladesh also ran through a collapse.

However, Mehidy Hasan ensured to get the job done for the hosts as he scored an unbeaten 38 runs with the help of 4 boundaries and two sixes as Bangladesh beat India by 1 wicket to take the first lead in the series.

Talking about the second ODI, Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first. The Tigers posted 271 for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted quota of 50 overs.

Mehidy Hasan top-scored with 100 off 83 balls including eight boundaries and four sixes. On the other hand, Mahmudullah scored 77 runs with the help of seven fours.

In reply, India didn’t find support from the top order. However, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel steadied the ship with a 107-run-stand for the fifth wicket before Iyer departed for 82 runs (6 fours, 3 sixes).

Axar Patel also looked good for his 56 including 2 fours and 3 sixes. Indian captain Rohit Sharma who came out to bat down the order let his bat do the talking by smashing sixes and fours at will.

He came out to bat despite his injured finger and displayed tremendous fighting spirit. He scored an unbeaten 51 off 28 balls including 3 fours and 5 sixes. During his innings, he became the first Indian to complete 500 sixes in international cricket. Bangladesh won the game by five runs and won the series by 2-0.
