Ex-Indian Opener Aakash Chopra slammed the poor captaincy and strategy execution of Lucknow Supergiant’s skipper, KL Rahul after the side lost two games in an uninterrupted manner. After a couple of impressive victories at the start of the season, LSG is finding it tough to maintain its winning momentum. Aakash Chopra also pinpointed the same stuff of KL’s captaincy which is now looking slightly cheeky as compared to the initial encounters.
“I feel they (LSG players) will get a scolding from Gautam again”.
LSG is standing at number three in the points table with eight victories and in the attempt to take the side in the top two positions the skipper Rahul may be trying out unnecessary things. The LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir was so furious after their disastrous defeat against Gujarat Titans. Thus, the Former Knight Aakash Chopra has comically forecasted a new possibility of Gambhir’s scolding on the Lucknow players along with their clueless skipper Rahul. Thus he mentioned in his YouTube video, “I feel they (LSG players) will get a scolding from Gautam again because your fate of reaching the top two is probably not in your hands. I will want to ask a question from KL Rahul, you used eight bowlers, at times you don’t need those many options. There were so many options that he didn’t come to know whose overs to be bowled”.
“Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers but he bowled only three overs. Mohsin Khan went for runs but he bowled four. So it was slightly surprising that they were being given one-one over spells, everyone was being given a chance – only Hooda, Quinton de Kock, and Rahul did not bowl, he got all others to bowl”, Chopra concluded.
