“Bro forgot about Albie Morkel hitting” – Twitter erupts after Virat Kohli said, “If I Had Bowled, RR Would Have Been 40 All Out”
Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with Rajasthan Royals on Sunday’s afternoon fixture at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Considering that it was a home fixture for the Royals, they entered the fixture as the favourites.
However, as it turned out, Royal Challengers Bangalore slowly came out on top in the battle much to the hosts’ annoyance. Batting first, Faf du Plessis-led RCB posted 171 for the loss of five wickets in their quota of 20 overs.
Faf du Plessis once again played a crucial knock for the team as he top-scored with 55 off 44 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Glenn Maxwell was the pick of the batters as he scored a quickfire 54 off 33 balls.
Maxwell constructed his innings with the help of 5 fours and 3 hits over the fence at a strike rate of 163.64. In the end, Anuj Rawat scored useful runs for the team as he chipped in with 29 off 11 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes.
Virat Kohli makes a shocking comment on Rajasthan Royals after RCB’s huge win
Rajasthan Royals had a power-packed and star-studded players in their arsenal who were easily capable of chasing down the total. However, as it turned out, they literally messed up the plot in the run-chase.
They lacked stability in the run-chase as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Shockingly, RR’s opening pair Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler were dismissed for a duck for the first time this season.
After a collapse in top-order, RR’s middle-order didn’t recover from the setback and they were bowled out for a mere 59, which is their lowest-ever total in the history of the IPL.
After the game, former RCB captain Virat Kohli made a shocking remark on Rajasthan Royals. He stated that had he bowled in the game, then the Royals would have been bowled out for 40 runs.
Kohli’s remark went viral on the internet. Meanwhile, RCB still keep their playoff hopes alive after their humongous 112-run win over the Royals.
