Australian media criticises Nagpur pitch even before the match
The countdown for the much anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy has begun. The two cricketing heavyweights will clash with each other in the four-match Test series and after the series, we will get the No.1 ranked Test side and most likely the finalists of the World Test Championship.
The Test series between India and Australia will kick start with the Nagpur Test on February 9th. The focus will then shift to the second Test that will be played on 17th February in Delhi. The third game between the teams is slated to take place on 1st March in Dharamshala whereas the last game will be played on 9th March in Ahmedabad.
The battle between India and Australia has always been fiercest with players of both teams engaging in banters and verbal spats, giving each other a tough time on the field. However, not only the players but fans of both nations too have not left any stone unturned in giving each other a good face-off.
Recently, Australian media took a jibe at BCCI and accused them of “straight-up pitch doctoring”. They said that they are preparing rank turners to make life tough for batters. It’s fair to say that it’s a ploy of mind games by the Australian media, who recent past have done the same things.
Lots of drama is going around the Nagpur pitch. A controversy took place after pictures of the groundskeepers working on specific areas of the wicket hogged the headlines. Australian media accused ground staff for watering the centre of the pitch and the off-side for right-handers, leaving out the leg-side dry, which will hurt left-handed batters.

Or
Not enough confidence in batting? https://t.co/V3crHve0tT

Never seen such crying in the era when Australia dominated world cricket under S Waugh, Ponting. They would come confident, play hard ,tough cricket. All these started after M Clarke act at Wankhede in 2004-05. #CricketTwitter #BorderGavaskarTrophy @NorthStandGang @toecrushrzzz https://t.co/uWC4EfFJJE
