In fact, the game was going towards India’s favour and they would have won the game had KL Rahul taken the catch. However, Bangladesh got lucky and they made the most of the reprieve.

Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and chose to bat first. During the second over, Rohit Sharma sustained an injury in the process of taking the catch at the slip.

As it happened, the Indian stalwart ended up dropping a catch while also getting injured. He was in total discomfort and then he left the field immediately after the injury.

The commentator confirmed that Rohit Sharma went to the hospital for an X-ray. There has been no further update from the Indian captain. It remains to be seen whether or not he will bat for India in this game.

This is a must-win encounter for India in order to remain in contention after they lost the first game. The Tigers have already lost three wickets as they have scored 57 for the loss of three wickets in 14 overs.
