India defeated Pakistan by 4 wickets on Sunday. It was a stunning game that got all the cricket fans interested and glued to their seats. Even some of the cricketers from other nations were impressed with the encounter. Aussie all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was one of them. Ahead of his team’s game against Sri Lanka, Marsh spoke about the Indo-Pak match in the press conference. Chasing 160, India was in trouble when Pakistan reduced them to 31-4. It required a strong comeback and if that was happening, the game was going down to the wire.
Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya were in top form as they took India close to the target. With 16 runs needed in the final over, the match could have gone either side. However, India held its nerve and came out as the winner. If not for Pakistan wilting under pressure, the outcome could have been different.

When asked about the game on Sunday, Mitchell Marsh said, “I actually think we should just stop the World Cup there. Um, if it gets any better than that, we’re in for an amazing three weeks. India v Pakistan is always an incredible game to watch. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have been in that crowd and to be a part of it.”
The Australian all-rounder also had praises for Virat Kohli. He said, “But yeah. Amazing. Virat Kohli has been through an indifferent 12 months when you think about his career. And for him to do that, um, you know, put his mark on the World Cup and it was an incredible innings to watch, an incredible game. So hopefully there’s a few more of those.”
Australia will take on Sri Lanka on Tuesday. Having lost the first encounter, the hosts will look to make a strong comeback. Mitchell Marsh will also want to do well as his recent performances have not been great. Sri Lanka has a good spin attack and they would want to field them against Marsh and co.
