Team India will have a packed schedule as it travels to England and Ireland later this year. Apart from the important assignments against England, the Rohit Sharma-led squad will also play two tour games. While India will take on England in the one-off Test match, the teams will also be involved in a T20I and ODI series. Before this starts, India will play T20I encounters against Ireland. After coming from Ireland and before facing England in the T20Is, the men in blue will play two games against County sides.

Derbyshire and Northamptonshire will be the opposition for India. Both the clubs made the announcement recently. On its website, Derbyshire announced, “India will travel to The Incora County Ground to face Derbyshire in a Twenty20 Tour Fixture on Friday 1 July (7 pm start). The number-one ranked T20 side in the world will continue their ICC Twenty20 World Cup preparations against a Derbyshire side”.

Northamptonshire also announced, “Northamptonshire will welcome India to Wantage Road this summer for a one-off T20 tour match.”

Team India is preparing well for the T20 World Cup in Australia

Meanwhile, as per reports, India will play 15 T20 games before the T20 WC in Australia. After not doing well in the previous edition, India will want to make a statement in Australia. Moreover, it has been a while since the team has won an ICC trophy. BCCI has given the responsibility to Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid for the same. The squad is shaping up well and the T20I games before the main event will help in the preparation. The ongoing IPL will also be helpful in this context.
