4 Scenarios that need to be fulfilled in order to witness a RCB vs GT clash in Qualifier 1

Gujarat Titans were the champions of the IPL 2022 edition and they executed their plans and strategy ever so well under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya and under the coaching of Ashish Nehra.

Even in this season, the defending champions have been in surreal form. They were the first team to qualify for the IPL 2023 playoffs and have a great chance to defend the IPL title.

Case in point, other teams are also in the playoffs race. It remains to be seen which other three teams will make it to playoffs. Recently, Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the away fixture.

Here’s how we can expect RCB vs GT clash in Qualifier 1

RCB defeated SRH by eight wickets in Hyderabad and it was their second win in eight attempts in Hyderabad. If they had lost, then CSK and LSG would have been automatically qualified.

Now in this scenario, let’s learn how we can expect a possible RCB vs GT clash in qualifier 1. For that to happen, four scenarios need to be fulfilled in order to witness both teams lock horns with each other in Qualifier 1.

First scenario: Delhi Capitals needs to beat Chennai Super Kings in the next game. The game will kick off on May 20, Saturday in the afternoon fixture at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Second scenario: Kolkata Knight Riders should beat Lucknow Super Giants in the next game at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 20, Saturday in the evening fixture.

Third scenario: Sunrisers Hyderabad should beat Mumbai Indians in the next game at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Even if SRH loses to MI, it should be a marginal defeat.

Fourth scenario: After five consecutive away games, Royal Challengers Bangalore will eventually return to their fortress to lock horns with Gujarat Titans at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB needs to ensure that they beat GT in the last league game.

If all the above four scenarios are fulfilled, we can expect a RCB vs GT clash in Qualifier 1.
