4 Popular players who played just one IPL game for RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the three franchises which hasn’t lifted the trophy yet. RCB has made the IPL Finals on three occasions but has failed to win any one of them. They had a good last season as they made the playoffs but lost the Eliminator and were knocked out. RCB is a team that is known for a lot of chopping and changing. Only a few players are a constant in their squad while the others keep changing.

Due to these tactics, many players are part of the RCB squad only for one season and then they are released. There are some players who have played only one game for RCB and then they have released those players before the next season. So, let’s have a look at four popular players who played just one IPL game for RCB.

4. Abhinav Mukund

The left-handed opening batsman from Tamil Nadu who has played Test cricket for India has been a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad in IPL 2013. In the inaugural IPL season, he was part of the CSK squad where he played only a couple of games.

In the RCB team, he got only one chance against Rajasthan Royals. He scored 19 off 21 balls and after that game, he didn’t get any chance with any other team. Mukund hasn’t been a part of any other IPL teams.

3. Abdur Razzak

The left-arm orthodox spinner from Bangladesh Abdur Razzak was part of the first season of the IPL. Royal Challengers Bangalore who didn’t have a great inaugural season had picked the left-arm spinner. Razzak got to play one game for RCB in that season.

He was in the XI for the game against Rajasthan Royals and he bowled two overs as he conceded 29 runs without taking a single wicket. He did get an opportunity to bat but he couldn’t score a single run. Razzak never played in the IPL after that season.

2. Avesh Khan

The right-arm fast bowler Avesh Khan who was a part of the 2016 U-19 World Cup squad has played in the IPL for a couple of teams. He was initially a part of the RCB squad in IPL 2017 and then he moved to Delhi Capitals. He got a chance in the RCB playing XI for their last league game in IPL 2017 against Delhi Capitals.
