The World Cup 2023 is on a waiting list of just one year and the Indian team is preparing for its future prospects in the tournament. In the World Cup of 2019 the Virat Kohli leading team India as well in the hands of unanticipated New Zealand. The weird conditions of England have done the trick for the Indian batters as they wouldn’t be able to go from the seaming conditions and maneuver the game according to that. But there are few men in the management who were actually the real culprit of the defeat of team India in the victories looking voyage.
But after the redemption of two years, the Indian batting unit along with the bowling department has looked so compact and motivated to sustain in any kind of playing condition located at each corner of the world. Thus beneath are a few athletes whom you won’t see in the upcoming mega blaster tournament.
1. Shikhar Dhawan.
The ‘Gabbar’ Shikhar Dhawan, unfortunately, will not be a part of the World Cup 2023 squad as his unstable form and inconsistent touch with the bat have outdated him through the modern-day format that the Indian team has adopted over the last 2 years. In the pre-semi-final game of World Cup 2019, Gabbar has scored a fantastic ton of 114-runs against the dominated-looking team Australia. But as the BCCI and the Indian team management have given him a departure sign that he would also understand that his game doesn’t match with modern Indian approach, which will keep him aside from WC 2023.
2. Dinesh Karthik.
Dinesh Karthik, the man in the emerging form has shown glimpses of attacking batting that he used to execute in his early days in cricket. But unfortunately, he has strong candidates for the position of finishing in the one-day games like Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Suryakumar Yadav. Dinesh Kartik has also got selected into the squad for the T20 series which will be played against South Africa but he might not be considered for the one-day team as his batting style is not suited there.
3. Vijay Shankar.
Vijay Shankar who was part of World Cup 2019 and had also been given a chance in two or three League games in the midst of WC was, unfortunately, unavailable for the selection process for World Cup 2023. Shankar has played 12 ODI games and scored 339 runs with an average of 32. After his bad form and the revival of his counterpart, Hardik Pandya Shankar is not even close to the International Circuit of the Indian Cricket Team that’s why he won’t be considered for the World Cup 2023.
4. Mayank Agrawal.
Mayank Agarwal is another guy who is part of World Cup 2019 where he didn’t get a game to showcase his skill of performing under pressure winds. Agrawal was anticipated to perform in good touch in the latest season of IPL but there he has let down the expectations of the Indian team management and also the PBKS think tank. Thus his chances of getting a vacancy in the squad for World Cup 2023 is paling as the time is moving on.
