1) Sam Curran

Not just CSK and MI but most teams will have their eyes on the Player of the Tournament winner of the 2022 T20 World Cup. The English all-rounder adds terrific balance to the squad and hence, he will be a top target for both franchises.

While CSK has been host to Curran before, owners of Mumbai Indians already have Sam Curran on their payroll in the SA20 League. Both teams need to get a top all-rounder to improve their chances next season. They do not have the highest purse but would be keen to hire the talented cricketer.

2) KS Bharat

KS Bharat is one of the players whom both CSK and MI might target in IPL 2023 Auctions. Despite doing well for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021, KS Bharat did not get a lot of chances in IPL 2022 with Delhi Capitals. He himself would be raring to get more opportunities next season.

CSK needs to plan for life after MS Dhoni and hence, they can target KS Bharat. He could be a good option in the middle-order considering his good game against spin. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians would need a domestic backup for Ishan Kishan. There are not many reliable options available in the squad. Therefore, they can target the Andhra cricketer.

3) Sanvir Singh

The Punjab all-rounder is one of the cricketer whom both teams might target. Mumbai Indians are yet to properly replace Hardik Pandya. Hence, they can have someone like Sanvir Singh on the roster.

For CSK, there is requirement for some firepower in the lower order. They would also want to groom a few youngsters for future. Hence, they can target the cricketer.
