Recently, BCCI announced the squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa. It was a diverse squad, with not many players featuring in all three formats. Including the India A squads, as well, around 50 Indian cricketers will be travelling to the Rainbow Nation. Two players, though, have a chance to make their debut for Team India. 1) Rajat Patidar
It was a long time coming for Rajat Patidar. If it was not for his heel injury, he would have played for India long ago. In fact, he could have even been a part of the 2023 ODI World Cup squad if he had performed when he had got chances. However, for Rajat, the injury came at the wrong time. That said, he is back to playing the game now.
Rajat will be a part of the ODI setup. Now, India is looking to add depth to the middle order. Rajat is a fine option in this regard. He has a good game against pace and is also brilliant against spin. All these could help him cement his side in the playing XI.
2) B Sai Sudharsan
B Sai Sudharsan is one of the players who could make International debut in South Africa. One of the most promising young batters in India right now is B Sai Sudharsan.
The man from Tamil Nadu has done well in the IPL and is following it up with fine displays in the domestic circuit. India needs good left-hand batters and Sai is one of them. While he might prefer to open the batting, he can also operate at No.3. There is a lot of potential in him. It needs to be seen how he would go about.
